Two Noel residents were injured in a single-car accident at 7:35 a.m. Thursday on Hilltop Road, two miles west of Noel in McDonald County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

The driver of the car, Ingrid S. Flores, 23, and her passenger, Janell G. Rivera, 103Mike Stair 9/17/09 stet, were taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin.

n Two teenagers were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday on U.S. Highway 60, two miles east of Neosho in Newton County, according to the Missouri patrol.

The driver of one of the vehicles, Curtis L. Babb, 16, and his passenger, Michael Stribling, 16, both of Granby, were taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, the patrol said.

Babb was driving a northbound car and swerved to miss a stopped vehicle in the road, but struck a southbound vehicle instead, the patrol said. The driver of the southbound car was listed as William A. Guglielmo, 17, of Neosho.

n Two people were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 8:35 p.m. Wednesday on County Road 1135, less than three miles south of Mount Vernon in Lawrence County, the patrol said.

The driver of the car, Jerry E. Early, 29, of Mount Vernon, and his passenger, Jacque O. Snyder, 32, of Aurora, were taken to St. John’s Hospital in Aurora.

Their northbound vehicle ran off the road on a curve and struck a tree, the patrol said.
