NEOSHO, Mo. —
Prairie View Estates, a $4.3 million housing development outside of Neosho, has received approval for tax credits from the Missouri Housing Development Commission.
Affordable Homes Development Inc., of Springfield, headed by Joe and Marie Carmichael, is the developer. The development would include 27 houses, each with three bedrooms, two bathrooms and 1,398 square-feet of living space. It would be south of Wal-Mart, near the airport.
The MHDC rejected the application last year, prompting local banker Rudy Farber to criticize the Neosho City Council, accusing members of not supporting the project.
