Veterans Day parade set for Saturday

JOPLIN, Mo. — Several dozen floats and the Model T Club of America will be among the entries in Joplin’s annual Veterans’ Day parade to be held at 10 a.m. Saturday on Main Street.

Lineup will be held between 8 and 9 a.m. at 15th and Main streets.

The parade route will be north to Third Street, then west to Joplin Avenue, where the units will turn to go south to Memorial Hall, 212 W. Eighth St.

Joplin residents who have not yet seen the city’s newest fire engine may do so because the Joplin Fire Department will drive the new unit in the parade.
