!NEW! Percy missing from Joplin Museum Complex

Percy missing from Joplin Museum Complex

Joplin Museum Complex’s resident cat, Percy, is missing from his home and museum officials are asking for the community’s help in finding their mascot.

Brad Belk, museum director, said the 6-year-old cat was discovered missing about 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The museum was open then for an exhibit reception.

Percy is gray with some white markings and has a patch of hair missing following recent surgery to remove a tumor.

Belk said he found the cat several years ago outside the museum complex.

Anyone who may have information about the cat should call 623-1180.
