A Kansas man was injured in a motorcycle accident at 12:04 a.m. Tuesday on Missouri Highway 43, just outside the Joplin city limits in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Nathan J. Moss, 21, of Columbus, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the state patrol said.

Moss was riding a southbound motorcycle and swerved to avoid another vehicle, causing his bike to strike a curb and overturn, the patrol said.

n An Arkansas resident was injured in a three-vehicle accident at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 71, two miles south of Pineville in McDonald County, the state patrol said.

Adrian W. Fisher, 90, of Rogers, was taken to Northwest Arkansas Regional Hospital in Bentonville, the patrol said.

Fisher was turning his car onto Highway 71 from Wolfden Road, and the car collided with a northbound truck driven by Terry G. Crane, 56, of Brookhaven, Mass., the patrol said. The impact spun Fisher’s vehicle into the southbound lane, where it was struck by a car driven by Young H. Cho, 40, of Pittsburg, Kan., the patrol said.
