Jeff Lanza, special agent for the Federal Bureau Investigation, said today the ground search is focused on three areas and they are interviewing a number of people as they continue to look for Rowan Ford, age 9.
Searchers were scouring a wooded area south of Rowan’s House this afternoon.
She has been missing since late Friday night or early Saturday morning.
“Right now we go where the evidence takes us,” Lanza said. “We are in it for the long haul.”
Newton County Sheriff Ken Copeland said today no suspect has been identified yet, but he thinks Rowan’s disappearance is the result of foul play.
