A Joplin man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:10 p.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 37, two-and-a-half miles west of Pierce City in Lawrence County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Daniel W. Kroll, 29, was taken to Cox Monett Hospital, the patrol said.

Kroll was driving an eastbound car that ran off the road and struck a tree, the patrol said.

n A Golden resident was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 10:25 a.m. Thursday on Route J, two miles north of Golden, the state patrol said.

Roberta J. Corke, 54, was taken by medical helicopter to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, the patrol said.

Corke was driving a southbound vehicle that ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.

n Two people were injured in an all-terrain vehicle accident at 8:20 a.m. Friday in a field off County Road 500 about eight miles southwest of Miami, Okla., according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol.

The driver of the vehicle, Anthony Lane Allensworth, 25, of Blue Jacket, Okla., was taken by medical helicopter to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin. A passenger on the ATV, Bryan Buzzard, 30, of Vinita, Okla., was taken to the Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, where he was treated and released.

Both injured men and a third passenger who refused treatment were thrown from the ATV when Allensworth attempted to make a turn on a cow trail in the field and the ATV overturned, the patrol said.
