NEVADA, Mo. — A fire early Wednesday destroyed a Nevada business, according to a release from the Nevada Fire Department.
Firefighters responded at 2:51 a.m. to a call at Echo’s Lounge, 1819 W. Austin St., finding the building in flames. No injuries were reported.
Strong winds from the south pushed the fire through the building and caused the roof to collapse. Firefighters and 11 engines from four stations were on the scene for more than seven hours.
The cause of the fire has yet to be determined. The fire is being investigated by the Missouri Division of Fire Safety.
