A Sarcoxie woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 7:45 p.m. Monday on Highway 59, four miles north of Diamond, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Leola M. Carrick, 84, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.

Carrick was driving a northbound vehicle and made a left turn into the path of a southbound pickup truck driven by Caleb S. Lucas, 19, of Diamond, the patrol said.

n Three Mindenmines residents suffered injuries in a single-vehicle accident at 10:50 p.m. Sunday on Northwest 10th Road at Northwest 130th Lane in Barton County, the state patrol said.

The driver, Jeramia D. Lewis, 20, and his passengers, Noel J. Ulmer, 17, and infant Kevin M. Kukovich, were taken to Mount Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kan., the patrol said.

The westbound vehicle slid through the intersection and struck an embankment, the patrol said.

n Three people were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 2:42 p.m. Saturday on Range Line Road, just south of Enterprise Avenue, according to the Joplin Police Department.

The driver, Cassandra L. Coffelt, 23, of Carl Junction, and two passengers, Michael P. Sims and Hannah Sims, ages and addresses not available, were taken by ambulance to St. John’s Regional Medical Center, police said.

The northbound vehicle left the road, entered a ditch and struck a culvert when Coffelt reportedly tried to avoid an object in the roadway, police said.

Coffelt was thrown through the windshield, the report said.
