Four Southwest City women were injured in a three-vehicle crash at 9:53 a.m. Friday on Highway 86, two miles south of Wheaton in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Bozena M. Rouse, 82, Caroline M. Wales, 64, Katlin R. Wales, 15, and Tayler M. Wales, 11, were taken to St. John’s Hospital in Cassville.

Caroline Wales was driving a westbound vehicle that collided with two vehicles that were stopped in the road because of a previous accident. The drivers of the other two vehicles, Eric R. Morgan, 19, of Stella, and James C. Bailey, 54, of Exeter, were not injured.

n A St. Martin City, Mo., man was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 1:55 p.m. Thursday on Highway 3, about a quarter-mile south of 670th Avenue in Crawford County, Kan., according to the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department.

Christopher Behymer, 28, was taken by ambulance to Girard Medical Center in Girard, the department said.

Behymer was driving a northbound vehicle when it entered the east ditch and struck a fence and utility pole.
