A Carthage man was injured in a motorcycle accident at 5 p.m. Thursday on Highway 37, four miles south of Carthage in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Justin V. Bagby, 31, was taken to McCune-Brooks Hospital in Carthage after the accident, the state patrol said.

Bagby was riding a northbound motorcycle that overturned when he failed to negotiate a curve, the patrol said.

n Both drivers were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 9:12 p.m. Thursday at 200th Street and 590th Avenue, the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department said.

Jonathon P. Bloomer, 20, of Girard, Kan., was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, and Joe L. Russian, 56, of Kansas City, Mo., was taken to Mount Carmel Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kan., the Sheriff’s Department said.

Russian was driving a northbound pickup truck that collided with Bloomer’s westbound vehicle at the intersection, the Sheriff’s Department said.
