A Webb City resident died and two others were injured critically in a two-vehicle accident at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday in the 1900 block of North Range Line Road, authorities said.

Webb City police said a car driven by Ryan B. Tyndall, 25, was pulling out of the state Probation and Parole Office to turn south on Range Line Road when it was struck broadside by a northbound delivery truck driven by Kelvin M. Walker, 48, of Joplin.

Tyndall and two passengers in his vehicle, Emilee N. Neher, 21, and Samuel Neher, 2, were taken by ambulance to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin. Tyndall was pronounced dead at the hospital at 11:08 a.m., police said. Emilee Neher and Samuel Neher underwent emergency surgery for their injuries and remained in critical condition Tuesday afternoon.

The driver of the delivery truck escaped injury, police said.

n A truck driver from Clever was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1:21 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 60, three miles west of Aurora in Lawrence County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Guadalupe M. Longoria, 61, was taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, the state patrol said.

Longoria was driving an eastbound tractor-trailer when he apparently fell asleep, and his truck ran off the road, the patrol said. The truck regained the road briefly before leaving the roadway a second time and overturning, the patrol said.
