The Miami City Council Monday further delayed action on a ballot proposal to seek a sales-tax increase to finance a comprehensive road-improvement project.
Councilman Scott Trussler’s motion to seek a 1-cent sales tax hike died for lack of a second, and no further motions were made.
The council is planning to survey attendees at a March 7 breakfast about their views of a tax hike.
Nine people attended Monday’s special meeting and public hearing on the proposal.
