A resident of Ash Grove was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 2:48 p.m. Thursday on Interstate 44, a quarter-mile east of Fidelity in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Roy M. Crocker, 54, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
Crocker was driving a westbound vehicle that ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.
n Two people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 2:45 p.m. Wednesday on the Will Rogers Turnpike in Ottawa County, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol said.
Danelle Frantz, 46, of Manchester, Mo., was taken by ambulance to Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, Okla., after being pinned inside one of the vehicles for 30 minutes before being extricated by the Miami Fire Department, the patrol said. Her son, Cole Frantz, 2, was flown by medical helicopter to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, the patrol said.
Both of the injured were passengers in a westbound vehicle driven by Tyler Shipp, 51, of Manchester. He fell asleep at the wheel, causing their vehicle to run into the rear of a westbound tractor-trailer driven by Jaswinder Singh, 47, of Lathrop, Calif., the patrol said.
