A 15-year-old was arrested Tuesday afternoon in connection with a residential burglary reported in the 400 block of North Pearl Avenue in Joplin.

A woman called police at 12:27 p.m. and reported that she returned home and found three males inside her house. The three fled the house, allegedly taking unspecified items.

Cpl. Chuck Niess of the Joplin Police Department said the woman later spotted one of the three among a group of juveniles a few blocks away and called police a second time. Niess said the juvenile was taken into custody on a charge of second-degree burglary and was turned over to juvenile authorities.
