A sever thunderstorm that blew through the Joplin area this morning shortly after 7 a.m. The storm produced dime-sized hail and winds in excess of 50 mph. falling trees snapping power poles across the area. Unconfirmed damage reports include: The roof of a building on Main Street in Carterville, damage to buildings at The Plaza Apartments in Joplin, and reports of damage to the former Price Cutter building on 32nd Street in Joplin.
