TULSA, Okla. — A federal grand jury in Tulsa has handed up indictments against three Joplin residents, including two former employees of Downstream Casino.

A grand jury in U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Oklahoma indicted Joshua Carl Pruitt, 32, and Mary Elizabeth Busby, 20, accusing them of embezzling funds from Downstream Casino operated by the Quapaw Tribe.

A news release from the U.S. attorney’s office alleges Pruitt and Busby each embezzled more than $1,000 from the casino in July 2008.

The jury indicted Greggory Ryan Seward, 25, of Joplin, accusing him of robbery. The U.S. attorney’s office said Seward robbed a woman April 27 of this year on tribal land.
