A 7-year-old boy was injured in an all-terrain vehicle at 2:45 p.m. Thursday on Maple Drive, five miles west of Neosho in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Brice C. Potts, of Neosho, was taken to Freeman Neosho Hospital, the state patrol said.
The boy was riding an all-terrain vehicle that overturned on the roadway, the patrol said.
n A Carl Junction man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at noon Thursday on Missouri Highway 43, a little more than two miles north of Tiff City in McDonald County, the state patrol said.
Nicholas E. Rookstool, 23, was flown by medical helicopter to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
Rookstool was driving a southbound vehicle that ran off the road on a curve and struck a tree, the patrol said.
n A teenager was injured when the bicycle he was riding was struck by a car at 11:44 a.m. Thursday on Highway 86, a mile west of Neosho in Newton County, the state patrol said.
Jimmy T. Murray, 16, of Neosho, was taken to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
Murray was eastbound on the bicycle and rode into the path of an eastbound car driven by Richard M. Poor, 69, of Neosho, the patrol said.
n A 26-year-old woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 4:51 p.m. Wednesday on 20th Street at Rex Avenue, according to a Joplin Police Department report.
Kelly D. Brister, address unavailable, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the report said.
Brister was a passenger in a westbound pickup truck driven by Steven M. Hall, 52, 2415 Laurel St., which collided with a southbound pickup truck driven by Arturo T. Perez Escalante, 30, 721 Castle Drive, as Escalante attempted to turn left onto 20th Street, the report said.
