A Pierce City man was injured in a single-vehicle crash at 12:30 a.m. Wednesday on County Road 1040, four miles south of Pierce City in Barry County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Joey L. Forrester, 32, was taken to Cox Monett Hospital, the patrol said.

Forrester was driving a southbound vehicle that skidded through a T-intersection and struck a fence, the patrol said.

n A Seligman man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 37, three miles south of Cassville in Barry County, the state patrol said.

David L. Cotton, 43, was taken to St. John’s Regional Health Center in Springfield, the patrol said.

The northbound vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned, the patrol said.

n Two Exeter residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 2:47 p.m. Tuesday on Highway 14, three miles west of Nixa in Christian County, the state patrol said.

The driver, Denise D. White, 22, and her passenger, Heather McDonald, 19, were taken to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield, the patrol said.

The driver lost control of the eastbound vehicle on a curve, and it crossed the center line, ran off the roadway and struck a ditch, the patrol said.

n A Girard, Kan., man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 5:30 a.m. Tuesday on Highway 54, four miles west of Nevada in Vernon County, the state patrol said.

Troy D. Holder, 42, was taken to Nevada Regional Medical Center, the patrol said.

Holder lost control of his eastbound pickup truck on wet pavement, and the vehicle slid off the roadway, struck a ditch embankment and overturned, the patrol said.

n Two people were injured in a two-vehicle crash at 12:32 p.m. Tuesday at U.S. Highway 400 and Northwest 30th Street, three miles west of Cherokee in Crawford County, Kan., according to the Kansas Highway Patrol.

Christopher Colton Gabbert, 23, of Dennis, Kan., and Robert Eugene Peternell, 67, of Cherokee, were injured. Peternell was taken to Mount Carmel Regional Medical Center in Pittsburg, Kan., the patrol said.

Peternell was driving a westbound motorcycle and slowed to attempt a left-hand turn when his cycle was hit from the rear by Gabbert’s truck, the patrol said.
