MIAMI, Okla. —
A Miami man was listed as being in serious condition Monday at a hospital in Joplin, Mo., after he was shot several times with a shotgun on Sunday.
According to a report by the Miami Police Department, Stoney Sisco, 34, 215 J St. N.W., was shot several times in his back and legs in an altercation that took place about 12:45 p.m. Sunday.
Police said Noah Shields, 19, of Grove, had gone to Sisco’s home looking for his wife and daughter. After Sisco told Shields that the wife and daughter were not at the residence, Shields allegedly went to his car and got a shotgun, kicked in Sisco’s door and shot the victim several times.
Shields was arrested about 5 p.m. Sunday in Montgomery County, Kan. Police said the shotgun was recovered from his vehicle.
Ottawa County District Attorney Eddie Wyant on Monday charged Shields with shooting with intent to kill and first-degree burglary. He is to be extradited from Montgomery County, according to a spokesman for Wyant’s office. No bond is to be granted in the case.
Sisco was listed as being in serious condition, according to a spokesman for Freeman Health System in Joplin, Mo.
