Tai Chi in the Park slated in Carl Junction

CARL JUNCTION, Mo. — The Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce will host "Tai Chi in the Park" at 10 a.m. Saturday, July 13, in Center Creek Park.

The free event will be led by tai chi instructor Becky Browne.

The one-hour outdoor workshop, demonstration and group practice is open to all ages and fitness levels. Browne and her fellow tai chi instructors will explain the history and benefits of tai chi. Browne and her instructors will demonstrate common tai chi moves then lead all participants in a group exercise.

Tai chi is an ancient Chinese martial art that now is practiced around the world as a healing art, mind and body exercise and moving meditation.

Designated parking and shuttle will be available for those with mobility concerns. For more information, contact the Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce at 417-649-8846.
