A Lamar man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday on Route C, five miles west of Schell City in Vernon County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Ricky L. Stockton, 26, was taken to Cedar County Memorial Hospital in El Dorado Springs, authorities said.
Stockton was driving a westbound car that ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.
n A Columbus, Kan., resident was injured in a three-vehicle accident at 3:07 p.m. Monday on Main Street at 24th Street in Joplin, according to the Joplin Police Department.
Shawn Price, 26, was taken by ambulance to an unspecified hospital, police said.
Price was driving a northbound car that ran into the rear of a northbound car driven by Daren R. McCormack, 24, of Joplin, according to the report. McCormack had stopped for a vehicle in front of him whose driver, Ridge T. Dickson, 19, of Joplin, had stopped for a vehicle that turned left in front of him. The mpact knocked McCormack’s car into the rear of Dickson’s sport utility vehicle.
