PITTSBURG, Kan. — A 33-year-old woman is facing multiple charges in connection with an alleged methamphetamine lab discovered Friday by officers who went to her apartment in Pittsburg to check on her welfare.
The Pittsburg Police Department said in a news release Tuesday that Cristy Thomas was arrested after the discovery of a lab in her apartment at 611 Broadway. She was taken to the Crawford County Jail and held on $50,000 bond.
Thomas was charged with possession of anhydrous ammonia in an improper container, intent to manufacture a controlled substance, possession of meth, possession of marijuana, and misdemeanor and felony possession of drug paraphernalia.
The Kansas Bureau of Investigation Drug Task Force assisted Pittsburg police in the handling of the alleged lab.
