A Joplin teenager was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 12:56 p.m. Friday on Missouri Highway 43, four miles north of Seneca in Newton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Deidre D. Smith, 18, was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, the patrol said.
Smith was driving a northbound car that crossed the center line and sideswiped a southbound car driven by Andrew D. Vancleave, 55, of Wyandotte, Okla., the patrol said.
n Two Aurora residents were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 6:10 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 44, one mile west of Halltown in Lawrence County, the state patrol said.
The driver of the vehicle, Kimberly S. Holycross, 43, was taken by ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital in Monett. Her passenger, Robert L. Robley, 75, was taken by ambulance to Cox Medical Center South in Springfield.
Their westbound Holycross vehicle ran off the road and struck an embankment, the patrol said.
n A Granby man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 3:55 p.m. Wednesday on Route H, two miles north of Boulder City in Newton County, the state patrol said.
Darren S. Kern, 43, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
Kern was driving a southbound vehicle that ran off the road, struck a tree and overturned, the patrol said.
