An 83-year-old rural Edna, Kan., man is dead after a farming accident, the Labette County Sheriff’s Department said this morning.

Henry H. Harold was working between a tractor and a grain dryer at 8077 Lyon Road at about 2:34 p.m. Monday when the tractor went into reverse, backed over and crushed him, according to a release from Sheriff William Blundell.

Harold was later pronounced dead at the scene by the Labette County Coroner. His body has been transported to Topeka for an autopsy.
