Molested young girl for more than two years

The former pastor of a Webb City church was sentenced today to eight years in prison for molesting a girl when she was 10 or 11 years of age.

Circuit Judge David Mouton assessed Roy Curtis Huling, 60, the prison term on a conviction for first-degree child molestation at a sentencing hearing in Jasper County Circuit Court in Joplin. Huling, who faced up to 15 years in prison for the offense, pleaded guilty in June in a plea agreement with the Jasper County prosecutor’s office that limited the time he might be required to serve to eight years.

A probable-cause affidavit filed in the case states that Huling cupped the breasts of the girl, rubbed her genitals and had other sexual contact with her at his residence in Duquesne between August 2003 and February 2006.

Huling was pastor of First United Pentecostal Church in Webb City at the time.
