Old Time Gas Engine and Tractor Club to celebrate 25th year of annual show

PITTSBURG, Kan. — The 25th annual Southeast Kansas Old Time Gas Engine and Tractor Club Show kicks off today at the Crawford County Historical Museum on the frontage road off of U.S. Highway 69 Bypass between 20th Street and Atkinson Road.

The show will open at noon and will be held until 7 p.m. On Saturday it will be open from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The show will feature operating exhibits, old gas engines, antique tractors, antique farm machinery, antique and classic cars, a full-size hay baling demonstration, corn grinding demonstration, an operational old time saw mill and model steam engines.

A parade of power will be held at noon on Saturday. Other events both days include a women's skillet toss, a rolling pin contest and a turtle race.

Food and refreshments will be sold on the grounds.

Admission is $4 for adults, which covers both days; children 12 and under are free.
