Early morning fire causes extensive damage to House of Bounce

AIRPORT DRIVE, Mo. — An early morning fire caused extensive damage to a local business today.

Carl Junction Firefighters are still on the scene at the House of Bounce, 3684 N. Main St., having gotten a call about the fire shortly after 5 a.m.

Brian Vediz, owner of the building, said the business was closed and unoccupied and there were no injuries. He also said firefighters have determined the cause to be accidental, and probably electrical in nature.

He and Jeff Moore, owner of the business, are still surveying the damage this morning, but Moore vowed to reopen as soon as possible.

“We’re not going anywhere,” he said.

Moore noted that even though the building on North Main Street was damaged, his rentals were kept off-site and are safe.
