A Carl Junction man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 12:14 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 44 near Joplin, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Donald R. Patton, 56, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
Patton was driving a westbound vehicle that ran into the rear of a westbound tractor-trailer driven by Mark W. Gardner, 44, of Wasola, as the truck slowed to pull into a weigh station, the patrol said.
