Voters in the city of Diamond overwhelmingly approved a measure to issue $650,000 in revenue bonds to enlarge the city’s sewage holding lagoon and to replace about 1,800 feet of 8-inch sewer line with a new 15-inch sewer line.
The proposal passed by a margin of 141 in favor and 13 against, according to complete but unofficial results.
Mayor Steve Carter previously told the Globe the work was needed to comply with a mandate from the state Department of Natural Resources.
