A Carl Junction teenager was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday on Route JJ, two miles south of Carl Junction in Jasper County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Richard R. Clemmons, 18, was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, the state patrol said.

Clemmons was riding a southbound motorcycle that skidded into the rear of a southbound car driven by Robert H. Morton, 70, of Carl Junction, the patrol said.

n A 17-year-old was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 8:05 a.m. Tuesday on Pennsylvania Avenue at 22nd Street, according to Joplin police.

Joseph J. James, address not available, was taken by ambulance to an unspecified hospital, a police report said.

James was a passenger in an eastbound car driven by Haily R. Wilson, 17, of Duenweg, that collided with a northbound pickup truck driven by Maria E. Ryan, 33, of Joplin, the report said.
