ST. LOUIS (AP) — The U.S. and Missouri flags on all state buildings around Missouri will fly at half-staff on Thursday to honor a St. Louis County soldier who died in Iraq.

Gov. Jay Nixon issued the order Tuesday in honor of 28-year-old Specialist Christopher Cooper of St. Louis. He died Oct. 30 in Babil Province, Iraq.

Nixon also ordered all flags at state buildings in St. Louis County to remain at half-staff through Nov. 18.
