A resident of Liberal was killed when the tractor he was driving was struck by a car at 5:45 p.m. Monday on Route K, seven miles west of Liberal in Barton County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

Ronnie D. Engle, 46, was pronounced dead at the scene, the state patrol said.

Engle was driving a northbound farm tractor that was struck in the rear by a Dodge Neon driven by Dillon S. Duffy, 18, of Arcadia, Kan., the patrol said. Both vehicles left the roadway after impact, and the tractor overturned, the patrol said.

n A Neosho man was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 6 p.m. Tuesday on Nighthawk Road, two miles east of Neosho in Newton County, the state patrol said.

Lee J. Webb, 24, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.

Webb was a passenger in a southbound pickup truck driven by Cameron Beacal, 20, of Stark City, the patrol said. Webb fell from the bed of the truck as it rounded a curve, the patrol said.

n A Shell Knob woman was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 2:25 p.m. Tuesday on Big Creek Road, a mile east of Shell Knob in Barry County, the state patrol said.

Julie A. Finney, 46, was taken by ambulance to St. John’s Hospital in Berryville, Ark., the patrol said.

Finney was driving a southbound pickup truck that was struck head-on by a northbound Jeep Cherokee driven by Debra J. Haffey, 44, of Shell Knob, the patrol said.
