A Kansas teenager reported being robbed at gunpoint by two men Wednesday night near Grand Falls in Joplin.
Cpl. Chuck Niess of the Joplin Police Department said Joshua Holgate, 19, of Dennis, Kan., told police that he and three friends were walking along a trail near the falls about 10:30 p.m. and were approached by two men, one of whom put a gun in Holgate’s face and demanded his belongings.
The robbers reportedly fled into some woods with Holgate’s BlackBerry cell phone, ink pen and two lighters, as well as some items that belonged to one of his friends, Niess said.
The report remained under investigation Thursday without any arrests having been made.
