The Jasper County Sheriff’s Department reports that a bat and a knife were used in a fight Wednesday night that ended with one combatant killing the other.
Sheriff’s deputies were called at 7:15 p.m. to 2805 N. Red Fox Road regarding an assault involving weapons. Ralph Ivy, 50, who lives at the address, was taken to a local hospital, where he died, the sheriff’s department said in a news release today.
Deputies arrested Aaron Eugene Pilgrim, 37, at a nearby residence and held him over night at the Jasper County Jail on suspicion of murder.
