A Joplin teenager was treated over the weekend at Freeman Hospital West for a broken jaw he suffered in a fight, according to Joplin police.

Police Cpl. Chuck Niess said Dakota Williams, 17, was the victim. The incident at 13th Street and Wall Avenue has been categorized as a first-degree assault.

The assault was reported at 4:24 a.m. Sunday. Niess said Monday that there had been no arrests. Further details were not available Monday afternoon from police.
