Participants are being sought for a gingerbread house competition to be held from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Memorial Hall. The event is being planned as part of the Joplin Holiday Experience.
There is a $20 entry fee that includes workspace and a gingerbread house kit. Entrants, which can be individuals or teams of up to three people, must provide their own tools, equipment and display information.
There will be categories for adults and children/family. Prizes will be awarded for first and second place in each category.
