Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 6:55 p.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 60, five miles east of Granby, the Missouri State Highway Patrol said.

Amy Cox, 32, driver of one of the vehicles, and two passengers, Brooke Cox and Emma Cox, both age 5, all of Granby, suffered minor injuries. They were taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center, Joplin.

Shawn C. Chadelaria, 41, Monett, driver of the other vehicle, was not injured.

The patrol said Cox’s vehicle, which was going west, was struck from behind by Chadelaria, who ran away from the accident on foot. He was later located in the area by a deputy with the Newton County Sheriff’s Department.

n A Stockton man was injured in a one-vehicle accident at 5:45 a.m. Friday on Route VV, three miles north of Golden City, the patrol said.

Roger R. Yokley, 37, driver of the vehicle, suffered moderate injuries. He was taken to Barton County Memorial Hospital, Lamar.

The patrol said Yokley’s vehicle, which was going west, ran off the road and struck a tree.
