COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) — Researchers from Missouri and Kansas are working together to analyze state and district achievement data.

The Columbia Tribune reports they will compare performance between schools, districts and the two states.

The researchers come from the University of Kansas, Kansas State University and the University of Missouri-Kansas City and make up the Kansas City Area Education Research Consortium.

They are getting help from an $800,000 grant from the Kauffman Foundation.
