An Anderson man was injured in a two-vehicle accident at 2:45 a.m. Thursday on Highway 59, a mile north of Goodman in McDonald County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Ralph G. Durbin, 73, was taken to St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, the patrol said.
Durbin was driving a southbound car that crossed the center line and struck a northbound car head-on, the patrol said. The driver of the second vehicle was listed as Adam J. Craig, 23, of Rocky Comfort.
n A resident of Lone Jack was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 9 a.m. Thursday on Missouri Highway 37, two miles east of Wentworth in Lawrence County, the patrol said.
Cary D. Altman, 51, was taken by ambulance to Cox Monett Hospital, the patrol said.
Altman was driving an eastbound tractor-trailer rig that ran off the road and overturned, the patrol said.
n Two Texas residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident at 3:42 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 44, four miles east of Fidelity in Jasper County, according to the patrol.
The driver of a car involved, Janice K. Martinie, 68, and her passenger, Lyle E. Martinie, 76, both of Granbury, Texas, were taken to McCune-Brooks Regional Hospital in Carthage, the state patrol said.
The Martinies’ car was eastbound on I-44 when an eastbound truck rig driven by Gail H. Hall, 65, of Dallas, Texas, started to change lanes and forced them off the roadway, the patrol said. Their car then skidded back onto the roadway and struck the trailer of the rig, the patrol said.
n A Joplin woman suffered minor injuries in a two-vehicle accident at 3:10 p.m. Wednesday on Business Highway 71, a mile south of Joplin, the patrol said.
Susan L. Fisher, 50, was taken by ambulance to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
Fisher was driving a southbound car that was struck in the rear by another southbound car driven by Clint W. Kelley, 36, of Neosho, when Fisher stopped to make a left turn, the patrol said.
n Two teenagers were injured in a single-vehicle accident at 4:15 p.m. Wednesday on Lawrence County Road 2220, a half-mile south of Verona in Lawrence County, the state patrol said.
The driver of the car involved, Matthew A. Gaines, 16, of Verona, and his passenger, Dillan M. Briscoe, 16, of Aurora, were taken to St. John’s Hospital in Aurora, the patrol said.
Their westbound car ran off the road on a curve, struck an embankment and overturned, the patrol said.
n A resident of Liberal was injured in a single-vehicle accident at 3 p.m. Wednesday on Southwest 30th Road, 10 miles southeast of Liberal in Barton County, the patrol said.
Kadi J. Jones, 16, was taken by medical helicopter to Freeman Hospital West in Joplin, the patrol said.
Jones was driving a westbound car that ran off the road and struck a tree, the patrol said.
