OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — Freezing drizzle falling across Oklahoma has left roadways slick — and in some areas — hazardous.

Temperatures ranged from the upper teens to the lower 30s before sunrise Tuesday as the drizzle fell. Several auto accidents were reported but no fatalities.

Interstate 40 was shut down between Clinton and Elk City in western Oklahoma because of numerous accidents.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported slick and hazardous roads from northwestern to southwestern Oklahoma. Troopers say bridges and overpasses were slick through the state’s midsection, including in the Tulsa metro area.

Roads in the Oklahoma City metro area are slick in spots.

The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory until 9 a.m. — then temperatures are to rise to the upper 30s in northeastern Oklahoma to the mid 50s in the southwest.
