Grow Native! Landscaping workshop rescheduled

NEOSHO, Mo. — The Grow Native! Landscaping Workshop originally scheduled for Feb. 22 and 23, has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday, March 16, in the Lampo Community Center, 500 E. Spring St. in Neosho.

The February workshops were canceled because of bad weather.

The cost is $35 for members of the Missouri Prairie Foundation and Grow Native! and $40 for nonmembers. The cost includes lunch and a copy of “Native Landscaping for Wildlife and People” by Dave Tylka.

The workshop is for homeowners, landscape and park professionals and other landscaping enthusiasts. It will provide hour-long presentations and in-depth information on many aspects of native landscaping, including design, water management, native trees, pollinators and native plant communities.

Presenters include Matt Bunch with Powell Gardens in Kansas City and Mike Arduser, Jon Skinner, Ronda Headland and Mike Leahy with the Missouri Department of Conservation.
