CARTHAGE, Mo. —
Under a new agreement announced Thursday, Carthage High School students will be able to graduate from high school with a degree from Crowder College, Neosho.
“What a great opportunity,” said Carthage High School Principal Kandy Frazier.
The 61-credit hour program will be difficult, said Frazier and Crowder dual-credit coordinator Melissa Smith. Students who complete the program will receive an associate’s degree in general studies from Crowder.
“They have to be motivated, dedicated students,” Smith said.
Carthage High School students also will able to take the courses at the discounted price of $60 per credit-hour. Smith said Carthage students can complete their associate’s degree for less than the cost of a semester at many universities.
