WEST MINERAL, Kan. — The body of a man was found Saturday morning at the Big Brutus attraction, Cherokee County Sheriff David Groves said.

Officers were dispatched to Big Brutus at 11:44 a.m. Saturday, where staff members directed them to the body, which was discovered near the shovel.

The man’s name and age are being withheld until his family is notified, the sheriff said. A vehicle authorities think to be his was found nearby and was being searched for identification, he said.

Groves said there were no immediate signs of foul play. The body was transported to Topeka for an autopsy.

Groves said Cherokee County authorities are continuing to investigate the situation.
