JOPLIN, Mo. —
The Missouri Southern State University Center for Entrepreneurship has planned a series of four workshops to coincide with Global Entrepreneurship Week in mid-November.
The workshops will be offered free to MSSU students, faculty, staff, business owners and prospective business owners.
“Aspiring Student Entrepreneurs: The First Steps,” led by Karen Bradshaw and Ken Surbrugg, will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 12, in room 104 of Plaster Hall. It will be geared toward those who want to launch their own company.
“Making Better Business Decisions Using Your Financial Statements,” led by Lisa Robinson and Ken Surbrugg, will be from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 13, in room 108 of Plaster Hall. It’s designed for business owners, managers, students and those who want to learn how to turn financial statements into management tools.
“Tax Planning: Getting the Most Out of Every Dollar,” led by Will Roderique, will be offered from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in room 102 of Plaster Hall. It will include discussion of tax-saving strategies.
“How to Write a Successful Business Plan,” led by Karen Bradshaw, will be from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 15, in room 109 of Plaster Hall. It’s designed for students, business owners and entrepreneurs.
