NEOSHO, Mo. —
Pete Ramsour, of Joplin, is the new finance director for the city of Neosho. He’s been on the job for a week.
He replaces Jane Obert, who was fired after a year on the job.
Ramsour most recently served as project manager on the rehabilitation of the Gryphon Building in downtown Joplin. He owned a wholesale beverage business for 30 years and a furniture manufacturing business for five years.
“I hope I can bring some stability in the finance department,” Ramsour said, noting that there had been three finance directors in the past three years.
“I think the city of Neosho is back on sound financial footing,” he said.
