Crawford Country Fair offering helicopter rides this week

GIRARD, Kan. — The Crawford County Fair is offering a new event this year that will take fairgoers way beyond the poultry barns and the horse arena — literally.

For the first time, helicopter rides that provide an aerial view of the fairgrounds will be offered by DWTA Helicopters, an FAA/DOT-certified commercial air carrier based in Wichita, Kan.

Rides will be offered from 5 to 11 p.m. on Thursday and Friday, and from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on Saturday at the fairgrounds. Each three- to four-minute flight is $35 per person.
