WEBB CITY, Mo. —
The fifth annual Springtime on Broadway is set for April and Webb City officials and the Old Urban Downtown Committee are looking for entertainment and stage sponsors for this year’s event.
Springtime on Broadway is scheduled for April 12-14 along Broadway and Main Street.
In the past, Springtime on Broadway has been host to more than 15,000 people throughout the three-day event. Crafters, artisans and food vendors take part in this event. A carnival, stage shows, arts and crafts, and foods are offered during the festival.
Webb City Mayor John Biggs, who also serves on the Old Urban Downtown Committee, said this year’s event will be expanded.
“We have doubled our tent size for craft vendors this year,” Biggs said. “We feel for the festival to keep growing, we are going to have to bring more vendors to this. Our goal is to expand the attendance to upwards of 40,000 people and I think we can sustain that with what we are offering.”
Springtime on Broadway is free of charge to those who attend. Exhibitors and vendors pay $50 per tented booth with an additional $10 electricity fee, if needed. Biggs said that attracting vendors and sponsorship is imperative to keeping the festival free.
“We want this to always be free to the public and getting the sponsorship and vendors to come is how we are going to do that,” Biggs said. “The local restaurants and hotels already benefit because of the amount of people that come through so we are looking to boost that even more.”
As a $5,000 entertainment/stage sponsor, businesses will receive a stagewide banner to be displayed throughout all three days of the event, their official business logo on all advertisement pieces, two booth spaces, sponsorship recognition on all written and live promotional material, including stage recognition during the event. Also included are eight drink tickets to be used in the Webb City Elks Club beer garden, two Springtime on Broadway T-shirts and four preferred parking passes for the reserved festival parking lot.
As a $2,000 event sponsor, businesses will receive a stage banner with a company logo that will be displayed throughout the event, official business logo on all advertisement pieces, two booth spaces, sponsorship recognition on all written and live promotional material. Also included are six drink tickets, two Springtime on Broadway T-shirts and two preferred parking passes for the reserved festival parking lot.
As a $1,000 sponsor, businesses will receive a stage banner with a company logo that will be displayed throughout all three days of the event, official business logo on all advertisement pieces, one booth space, four drink tickets, one T-shirt and a preferred parking pass.

The Webb City Council recognized the Old Urban Downtown Committee last year as an official committee appointed by the mayor. The committee is composed of volunteers who coordinate Springtime on Broadway, the Polar Bear Express and the Easter egg hunt, among other activities.
