Neosho TDD Board rejects city proposal for CID

NEOSHO, Mo. — Jim Cummins, chairman of the Neosho Transportation Development District board, said the board can’t make a city proposal for a Community Improvement District work.

He said the city’s proposal doesn’t include some projects the property owners in the TDD had approved.

“The property owners voted on them,” Cummins said. “They’re wanting to change the projects that are in the plan.”

Mayor Richard Davidson said the city’s proposal eliminated a few of the projects in the current plan and changes the priority of other projects.

“If the projects get done as the landowners voted, we would be in favor probably whatever initials they put in front of it,” Cummins said about prospects for a resolution.
