GIRARD, Kan. — Deputies with the Crawford County Sheriff’s Department and drug agents turned up an alleged methamphetamine lab in a rural trailer park Thursday and arrested six people on felony drug charges.
The department, in a news release, said a call was received at 8:30 p.m. Thursday regarding a suspicious chemical odor at Oak Hill Trailer Park. Deputies who went to the trailer park found evidence of an alleged meth lab in operation in a trailer at 943 S. 190th St., according to the news release.
The Southeast Kansas Drug Enforcement Task Force was contacted and a search warrant was obtained. It was executed early Friday morning. A hazardous materials team with the Drug Enforcement Administration was called in from Kansas City to assist in cleanup of the lab.
Arrested on charges of conspiracy to manufacture meth were: Curtis True, 39, and Tammie Harvey, 40, who reportedly live in the trailer where the lab was found; Glen Green II, 26, Bobby O’Banion, 24, and Brandy Arbuckle, 24, all of Weir; and Lee Harrison, 32, of Pittsburg.
All six suspects were being held Friday afternoon in the Crawford County Jail at Girard. Bonds were set at $55,000 each.
